What is Coaching?
The most common question of all.
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”
Why hire a Coach?
In England, The Angel of the North Sculpture represents Honor and Evolution. The former in recognition of the history of the contribution to the Industrial Revolution while the latter symbolizes the evolution of our world moving into a postindustrial era and embracing change.
Is there formal training to become a Coach?
Yes. And it’s rigorous.
I am a trained Coach whose education includes both classroom and experiential experience.
What methodology are you trained in?
I am a trained Co-Active Coach. Co-Active is considered the “gold standard” of coaching by the Institute of Coaching–a Harvard Medical School Affiliate.
Is working with a Coach the same as working with a Therapist?
Despite what you may hear, coaching is not therapy in disguise.
How do I choose a Coach?
This is a great question. The landscape is vast and sometimes difficult to navigate. Choosing a coach is highly personal. Chemistry is the key to finding a coach you want to work with.
